Mining jobs: questions & answers

Find your next step on Canadian Mining Jobs, whether you are looking for a role or hiring for your team.

Finding and applying for work

How do I find mining jobs in Canada?

Visit the mining job board and search by job title, company, keyword or mine site. Use the province, job type, rotation and trade filters to narrow the results. Open an individual job to review its location, requirements and application options.

Can I search for camp and FIFO roles?

Yes. Open the job board and select Camp / FIFO, then check the employer’s description for travel arrangements, accommodation and the rotation schedule. Working at a remote mine site is different from working from home; confirm the actual work location in the posting.

Do I apply here or on the employer’s website?

Some listings include an Apply on Company Site link that takes you to the employer’s application process. You can also use Apply With CMJ Profile where offered. That option requires you to sign in with a candidate account. Follow the instructions on the specific job posting.

How do I upload or update my resume?

Start on the resume upload page. You will need a candidate account to save your profile and resume. If you already have an account, sign in and open your profile to update your details.

What experience or training do mining jobs require?

Requirements depend on the employer, role and work site. Review the qualifications and experience in each listing before applying. A trade certificate, site training or a particular rotation may be required for one role but not another. Contact the hiring employer if a requirement is unclear.

How do I get mining jobs by email?

Use the homepage newsletter signup to subscribe with your email address. The weekly jobs newsletter is scheduled for Thursdays. You can unsubscribe through the link in the emails.

Why is a saved job link no longer available?

An employer may have closed the role, or the posting may have expired. Browse current openings for active opportunities. An old listing does not mean the employer is still accepting applications.

Posting and managing jobs

How do I post a mining job?

Compare the current options on the Post A Job page. Choose the posting or hiring plan that fits your needs, sign in with an employer account, and enter the job details. Submitted roles go through review before publication.

What should I include in a job posting?

Use a clear job title and include the hiring company, province, city or mine site, job description, requirements, employment type and rotation. Add compensation and application instructions where available. Accurate details help candidates decide whether the opportunity fits.

Where can I find current pricing or ask for help?

The employer plans page lists current posting packages and hiring options. For help with the platform, email jobs@canadianminingjobs.com. For questions about a specific vacancy, use the hiring employer’s contact or application process.
